I posted a video on my Instagram and Facebook profiles today where I briefly talked about staying consistent.
We all know the importance of showing up every day for our dreams and making daily efforts to achieve our goals.
Consistency leads to excellence.
But there’s a huge difference between knowing what to do and doing what you know.
There are times when staying consistent can become a challenge, especially during the times when you’re putting in long hours and making countless efforts working on something that seems to only exist in your mind.
It’s never easy walking by faith and pursuing your heart.
You often question yourself…
Is this what I’m supposed to be doing?
What if I’ve got it wrong?
Will my efforts ever pay off?
In addition to your own voice in your head, you may often hear the voice of others questioning your reasoning.
Why don’t you try something different?
It’s been years and nothing’s changed…
Can’t you see it’s not working?
Maybe even as you’re reading this right now you’re experiencing something similar, and you’re wondering… “What should I do?”
I don’t know your situation. I don’t know the circumstances you’re dealing with….but what I do know is this: Your heart knows things that you’re mind can’t explain.
Follow your heart—that gut feeling that pulls your toward something that matters to you.
Follow your bliss—that pulsating passion that gives your life meaning.
Do what you love and forever chase that feeling of being alive.
Deep within you, you know what you’re supposed to do because you were designed for it. You’re built for it. You’re created for it.
You’re not going to have ALL of the answers right now. Because if you had all the answers it wouldn’t be a faith walk, and without the faith walk you wouldn’t grow. You wouldn’t develop. You wouldn’t become who you’re supposed to become.
When your faith is tested, your character is developed, and in life I believe that who we become is what’s most important.
This journey that you are taking is the tool that will help you become who you’re supposed to be.
Fear will rise—It will try to intimidate you, manipulate you, and deter you from your purpose. It will aim to stir up doubt within you by highlighting the unknown, the uncertain, and the unpredictable.
But don’t be influenced by fear. Fear is just life’s way of signaling to you that you are stepping into new territory that will unleash a greater part of you.
Be influenced by faith. Listen to that voice that says, This is it! This is what I was created for. This is what I was born to do!
Pay attention to the signs and signals, everything is pointing you in the direction that you’re supposed to go. Don’t let the fear of what could go wrong prevent you from seeing everything that could go right.
I don’t know who this message is for, but I believe it will reach who it’s intended to reach. As I sit outside of my office writing this, it feels like you’re sitting right next to me. You have a decision to make and it has the potential to change and transform your life. Will you live your life in fear or will you live your life by faith?
The price you pay for not following your heart is spending the rest of your life wishing you had.
I believe you know what direction to take.
